a dystopian novel about some guy who works in the government and is just trying to get by while some shitty kids try and overthrow society
Dear Tooth Fairy,
look i know this is an adult tooth but i really need to pay for my college tuition so if u could cut me some slack and leave about $20,000 that would be really cool
==> always post the rules: answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 11 new ones. tag 11 new people. message the people you’ve tagged to let them know that you’ve tagged them. have fun!!
1.) Tell me about a narrative you’d like to see that you really just don’t.
There’s…. a lot. Mostly involving nonbinary individuals and intense plots that don’t require romance to somehow be ‘valid’
2.) Favorite non-human species in fiction? Does not need to be sentient.
man, I like pretty much every non-human species. So many variations! Cultures and societies and ideologies created by completely different mindsets and environments and needs!
Dont get me wrong, I love humans in fiction, but I get a warm, content, fuzzy feeling pouring forth when I think of all the different folks of different worlds that exist, even though there’s too many for me to even know.
Man I’m all wistful and shit now.
3.) Favorite intellectual property from either film, books, television or games?
There’s a lot, but I’d have to say one of the top ones (aside from Homestuck), would be The Abarat. When I first picked up the book from a friend in high school, I drank up every word like sweet wine in my parched mind. The places and people were immediately familiar, and I felt like I knew all of it from childhood, and I had somehow forgot it as I grew.
Seriously. Read it.
4.) If you could make any change to yourself, physically speaking, what would it be? Xenobiological modifications heavily encouraged dragonfaces.
If it was typical modifications (ie surgery, piercings, tattoos), I would get a nosejob. I’m short and somewhat pudgy, and the fact my nose turns up gets me a lot of ‘pixie’ comments when I would rather be getting ‘dwarf’ comments.
Magical modifications, however? Pointed ears. Preferably with mobility. Seems really unoriginal but I’ve always been thrown off by how short my ears are, even though they’re normal human size.
Too much Elfquest as a child, I guess.
5.) Favorite pizza toppings?
Tomato, red onions, green peppers, sweet red peppers, feta, and a light dabbing of tabasco on top of the standard tomato sauce + mozzarella. All at once.
6.) I’m not good at questions favorite color.
7.) Favorite character in fiction?
IDK MY OWN
8.) If you’re familiar with the ‘_______punk’ concept, what is your favorite subgenre? Why? If not, what ones are you aware of? Steam or Cyberpunk as an example.
I like most ‘___ punk’ styles, but I’m personally fond of Dieselpunk (the fun part is making Dieselpunk fit into my story right now HAH).
9.) Choose a virtue. Valor, Sacrifice, Compassion, Justice, Honesty, Honor, Spirituality, Humility. Why?
Honor. Because I’m finally learning I can honor myself and not just other people, most of whom are - in truth - undeserving of it.
10.) What was the last goofy thing you did for yourself?
Write myself self-indulgent OC AU ficlets replete with porn and sketches.
And by ‘last thing’ I mean I’m doing it right now.
11.) If you had a not-real animal as a pet, what would you want and why?
I’d love to have some of my tsanres, but I’d also totally take some fancy-pants mythical serpents.
Provided I can teach them that I AM NOT FOOD
1) What was the last thing to make you smile?
2) Have you had your favorite food recently? (in the past month or so)
3) Do you have/have you had an exotic pet? (tell us if so, and if not, what would you pick?)
4) Share a work-related horror story?
5) Favorite movie for the character development?
6) What would you (realistically) do if given $1,000USD with no strings attached?
7) Who’s the most likely person to ask you to house-sit?
8) Choose. Either you get one big superpower or 5 of your dearest people get one smaller/less ‘powerful’ superpower.
9) Fav comfort food when depressed?
10) Put your music on shuffle. What’s the first song to come up, and do you still like it? (why or why not is optional)
11) Is your blog ‘honest’? That is, do you censor it for the sake of not admitting to unpopular opinions or nsfw preferences? (explanations ENTIRELY OPTIONAL)
It’s to distract the enemy for combat advantage.
do you ever just wonder if there’s someone who secretly thinks about you and wants to talk to you but doesn’t know how
Alt-text: “I can’t remember where I heard this, but someone once said that defending a position by citing free speech is sort of the ultimate concession; you’re saying that the most compelling thing you can say for your position is that it’s not literally illegal to express.”
